The time since Christmas has flown by. Being housebound due to snow and family instructions not to step outside in case I slip over as my pregnant belly has knocked my balance a bit wasn’t fun. Finger’s crossed the snow has gone now – though it tried to snow again last night.

I’m now 3 weeks off my due date and the nesting instinct has kicked in big time. With my 5 year old I didn’t knit anything but this time I have finished a pair of booties and 2 hats, I’m halfway through a pram blanket and I have crocheted lots of bunny snugglies – so much so that I’ve added one to my etsy shop.

I’m still wondering how I can convince my husband to name our son/daughter after yarn – Rowan is perfect isn’t it?

Well that well known soft drink advert is on the tv and the shops are full of decorations which means the season of giving is almost upon us. My American friends refer to this coming weekend as ‘black Friday, cyber Monday’ but even when I worked in a shop as a student I knew we’d be busy during the last weekend of November – the last pay day before Christmas.

So as a way to help out a bit during the holidays I’m offering free Worldwide shipping in my etsy shop until 4th Dec.

The last posting dates from the UK are:

International Airmail 4th Dec, UK 2nd class 18th Dec and first class 21st Dec.

To qualify for the free shipping just mention this blog in the notes to seller and I will either send you a revised invoice or refund you via paypal.

I’m adding new items all the time so please do come back and have another look or convo me if there is a specific items that you’d like.

I’ve been silent for nearly two weeks – eek!  My laptop died and I’ve had the lurgi (caught the man flu off my husband!).

I hope to get back on track in the next few days. But meanwhile let me leave you with a few of the newer items in my etsy shop.

I know I’ve been a bit quiet of late. I’ve been knitting and stitching and then doing a bit more as well as editing and running around after my son. Plus my beloved laptop had broken so I am ‘sharing’ my husband’s – which isn’t going well.

I’m going on a long car journey (and back) over the weekend so I need to think of what to take with me that I can knit/crochet in the dark (I never did get around to purchasing those light up hooks and needles.

As well as supplying the shop I need to get my Christmas orders fulfilled – only a month away!

Okay. I’ve been making lots of bags for my shop and I’m running out of space!

I have enough material to make another one of the bag below and I thought I’d ‘share the love’ and give it away:

It is made from the fabric from a pair of curtains. So you can tell everyone it’s recycled!

All you have to do to have a chance of winning is to visit my shop, come back here and comment on what you like, don’t like, what you’d like to see more of. I’ll put all the names in a hat and pick one winner. The comments will be open until Friday 28th November at 12 noon (GMT).

Yesterday I was lucky enough to get an Etsy treasury spot and here are some of the items featured:fall-pictree-hoodie

If you click on the pictures you should get the link to the items – there are lots more lovely things in my treasury here. And don’t forget to tell your friends about my shop.
